Research: Family Research Database: Introduction
The Family Research Database contains details of family research in Ireland undertaken between 1998 and the present day. It includes government research publications, academic articles and books, and reports by charitable organisations and non-governmental research bodies. The database captures the spectrum of research across a wide range of family-related topics.

What will users find?
The database provides a summary page for each research entry, detailing the title of the research, author(s), publisher and year of publication. Entries are also classified according to a number of criteria which are set out on the summary page.
In addition to the summary page, the database provides the full text of the research document, wherever possible. If the full text is not available, the database will provide either the abstract of the document or the details of the publication where the research can be found. The database does not provide links to external websites.
The Family Research Database will be updated on a periodic basis. If you know of research in this field that is not presently in the database, you are invited to recommend anything written from 1998 onwards. This will be added to the database, where appropriate. Please email the details to research@fsa.ie and attach the document in pdf format, if available.
