The Family Support Agency has a key role in relation to the promotion and dissemination of information about marriage and relationship education, family mediation, parenting and family related matters.
Recent projects the Agency has collaborated on include:
- Teenhelp and Parenting Positively for Parents of Teens - a new web link on Barnardos website www.barnardos.ie/teenhelp and Parenting Positively for Parents of Teenagers, a series of four booklets for parents of teens. Both projects were funded by the Family Support Agency and cover issues such as Well-Being, Parental Separation, Bereavement and Domestic Abuse. - National Database of Parenting Programmes - Hosted on the Barnardos website this database of parenting courses, contains details of courses in every county in Ireland. - Parenting Positively - a set of nine booklets jointly produced by the Family Support Agency and Barnardos, aimed at supporting parents of children aged six to twelve through a range of parenting challenges. For more information see the Parenting Information page.
- Family Links - Steps and Stages - positive pointers for lone parents who are helping their children to understand their family situation. This booklet by Treoir, was funded by the Family Support Agency.

The Agency’s information section also promotes and disseminates information relevant to the Agency. This means providing information on:
- family mediation which is provided directly to the public by the Agency through its 16 Family Mediation Service offices nationwide. For more information go to the Family Mediation Service page or read or download Family Mediation Service information booklets.
